Tourism in Armenia is extremely rich in amazing discoveries that often seem incredible to foreign tourists. So, for example, the famous Garni temple, remarkable not only for its location in one of the most picturesque corners of Armenia, but also for its columns, reminds an island of Greece in the territory of Transcaucasia.

Another world-famous landmark in Armenia is Lake Sevan. A trip to Lake Sevan will be one of the brightest points of the whole tour in northern Armenia. The most popular attraction on Lake Sevan is Sevanavank Monastery, which was built in the 8th century. At that time, the first monks arrived on the peninsula (then an island) of Sevan and settled there, building a magnificent monastic complex. Surb Astvatsatsin and Surb Arakelots have survived to this day. The foundation of the Surb Harutyun church is also seen.

To reach the monastery of Sevanavank, you need to go up the hill on a very steep staircase. But, having overcome a steep climb, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains and the local nature, which opens at this height.
