Haghartsin, a 10 th-century Armenian monastery complex in the Tavush region of Armenia, 18 km from the town of Dilijan. Eagle Monastery (“Victory” means game, and “Eagle” means eagle). Haghartsin’s word originated from there. The Haghartsin complex consists of three churches, two vestibules (one destroyed), a refectory, prayer rooms, and khachkars. In the territory of the monastery, east of the main group of monuments, there are prayer rooms on the rocky slope, sculptural khachkars. The bronze cauldron found in Haghartsin (350 kg, now in the State Revenue Committee) is one of the high-art works of artistic metallurgy. The engraving of the crown of the lips indicates the year of preparation – 1232, the four cantons are statues of lions, the legs are also artistically decorated.
